  • Just popping in to say thank you so much to everyone for the warm welcome - and yes my username is from a very old Singing Postman song, I happen to have been born just down the road from Molly Windley :)
It's been rotten and rainy here all day, and I am trying not to fret about the hospital visit I had this afternoon, I've been waiting a couple of years for hernia surgery ( Covid got in the way) , and finally had an appt today, the surgeon agreed to put me on his list, but when I went to the nurse for a blood pressure/weight check my bp was raised, I suggested it might be nerves but she said that if my blood pressure raises like that with " normal life events like a hospital appt" I need medication......I guess she is right and I shall visit my GP  when I can get in to see her.   I guess it's good to know these things because now I can do something about it.......
