Been to the Forest of Bowland?

Someone's suggested this is a good place to visit but when I looked at it online https://www.forestofbowland.com/  it's not just a forest and it's a massive area! So have no idea what's best to see and do a couple of moderate walks and where's best to stay as a base to do that. Would appreciate any tips/suggestions.

A forgotten corner of England.  Well worth a visit and the obvious walk is Pendle Hill.
  • Bowland is a lovely area that never gets crowded - there’s no single obvious centre, no one town or village to aim for and accommodation is scattered around. Equally, there’s nowhere to avoid - it’s charmingly remote without actually being remote, if you know what I mean. Towns and villages like Garstang, Scorton, Clitheroe, Chipping are right on the edge but it’s only just over half an hour from where I live in Blackpool. As well as Pendleton Hill a popular walk with families is Nicky Nook near Scorton, not too challenging and very varied with panoramic views at the top.

Just don’t tell anybody or they’ll all want to visit.
