My OH had to replace the power pack in our computer as it blew up yesterday evening!!
Went to the checkout to pay for a new one - said we thought it was cheaper - at PC world online.
They checked their online site - and we saved ourselves £20 - they have a policy of matching prices online!!
Just thought it might be useful if anyone needs Christmas pressies or Computer bits!!

Saved £20?! Which PSU did you buy because PC World doesn't really sell premium PSUs? Even online their PSUs are very poor quality at premium prices.
Advice is good to know if you HAVE to buy from them in an emergency and/or with some products but if you're just want to buy something in general then even the online prices aren't competitive. I think I've bought bargain basement games (couple of quid) in store and that's about it from PC world, they're far too expensive otherwise in store or online. I only tend to use PC World to browse, see what's out, get ideas but I don't actually buy from them if I have time to get the best price."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

I agree with superscraper, only buy from PCW as a last resort. Their aftersales service is notoriously bad.0
