Booking changed without our consent

We've booked an apartment for a special date specific occasion. The owners/company have notified us today that they've moved our dates by a few days... Thus missing the event and my holiday.
Can they do this? Surely booking confirmation is a contract?

What do the terms and conditions you signed up to say?0

Hi. It's with a platform... Their t&c say our contract is with the service provider (apartment owner). The owners have a Web site but does not display t & c.
Our confirmations came via platform.

Very unlikely there was a specific performance clause when you booked so your only choices are accept the change or a refund.0

You do have a contract but you can’t force them to give the appartment to you - all they need to do is say they are having repair work done or something and you can’t prove otherwise.
I’m presuming they have offered you the refund? What platform is it – Airbnb? All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0
