My elderly mother who is disabled and I are looking at taking a short break on the North East coast in June. We're looking for recomendations for hotels/guest houses that are disabled friendly but which also will accept our border collie. We'd like 2 seperate rooms. Any one got any suggestions.

decide what type of accommodation you want - hotel, guest house, self catering?
Check what disabled facilities you need
Narrow down your area, The North East in a big area,
Contact the tourist information for any areas you area interested in for accommodation information.
get tourist brochures for the areas you are interested in.
Look at websites such as Pets Welcome. Pets Pyjamas. Welcome Break hotels accept dogs.
However, beware there are places where pets are accepted/ tolerated and those where pets are welcome.0 -
We'd like either hotel or guest house. Ideally bed, breakfast and evening meal, or at least bed and breakfast.
We really just need things like raised toilet seats, a walk in shower and a lift if not on the ground floor.
We'd like to be very close to the beach between North Shields and Blythe.0 -
Not quite where you said but this is in south shields and a family member has stayed here and recommends it.
