Travel Insurance for package holiday to Thailand

My wife and daughter are going on this trip for 10 days in February 2024. The flight from Manchester stops in Dubai for around 4 hours before boarding another flight to Phuket in Thailand.
When filling out the insurance form it asks you to list any countries you will be visiting on your single trip insurance quote. I can't imagine they'll be able to leave the airport in Dubai so do I only put Thailand down?

Or would it be United Arab Emirates and Thailand?

Any help would be appreciated.

UAE and Thailand is unlikely to make any material difference than Thailand alone... both are outside Europe and not N. America which are the three zones considered.

Never transited via Dubai... guess you do it airside? Therefore legally you never enter Dubai?

Thailand is the holiday destination for insurance purposes.

I doubt merely hanging around a departure lounge counts as “visiting” a country, but as above does it make any difference to the premium?

Your insurer will not care where you transit if you do not leave the airport.

The premium will be based on destination
