If they’ve left it to get long you get piles of grass for a while, but that gets mowed over and incorporated next time. As long as it’s in full sun I don’t see a problem. If it’s in partial shade then it could hang around damp and cause a few issues with moss and depriving the grass of the little light it does get.
Sometimes it's easier to put the collection box on and put the clippings in the brown bin.
If I put the mower too low, it's harder to push and the blade seems to drag on the surface of the grass.0 -
Don't cut too low.
Yes, it means you have to mow more often for a while but only till summer. It makes a huge difference.
For weeds and moss apply uric acid. Either buy the lawn stuff as dried or use your own for free and water onI can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
viral kindness .....kindness is contageous pass it on
The only normal people you know are the ones you don’t know very well

<snip>I removed the shell from my racing snail, but now it's more sluggish than ever.0 -
Sapindus said:I hear this a lot, but I actually don't think it's true. I hardly ever see bees on dandelions (happy to hear if you do) and yet the dandelions set seed quite happily without their help.
I have taken cuttings from a few red currant bushes, bees love the pink flowers and it gives a little colour where ever I plant them.
My garden is small, so I plant them any place they will thrive0
