Contacting Ebay without signing into our account

Recently, my wife's mobile was stolen so we had it blocked and the number changed. When we logged into our Ebay account, an SMS message with a code to enter would be sent to this mobile number for verification. We now need to contact Ebay to give them my wife's new mobile number so that we can log-in again, but - guess what - there now seems to be no way of doing this without logging into our account! The automatic help facility is of no use at all, and everything else I try only gets me back to the log-in page. In the past, we have managed to speak with real people at Ebay, but this no longer seems to be possible, unless I have missed something. I did eventually find a contact number on the automatic help page, but this only seems to apply to the USA and Canada.
This has turned into a very Kafkaesque saga - does anyone have any suggestions on what we could try next?

Go to eBay on the desktop site i.e. not mobile. When you attempt to sign in, there is a link underneath the box to enter your on-time passcode which says "need help signing in?". Click that, and it should give you the option to use the email address instead to sign in. Once you're signed in you should be able to update your details.

Many thanks, JetpackV. I always log-in on my desktop (due to a slight disability, I do not use a mobile myself), but Ebay then sends an SMS to my wife's mobile to verify our identify. I did as you suggested, and this opened a pathway to Ebay's live chat (it took me 3 goes to get in, because the system kept thinking I was a bot!). The first advisor, who was the most obsequious person I have encountered in years, was clearly out of his depth and ended the chat after sending me a useless link. However, the second advisor was more helpful - she said that she has updated my account, and that I should be able to log-in again as from tomorrow. I live in hope!Once again, thanks for helping me out.1
