A glance at Etihad website reveals that you cannot book with them to Mangalore, presumably because neither they nor a partner airline fly there. Therefore it's highly unlikely that Bravofly provided you with a through ticket MUC-IXE on a single booking. You might ask them your question about responsibility for getting you to your end destination...

DullGreyGuy : When i have already mentioned that it is a single ticket i dont have to be sure again. I booked this ticket via checkfelix.at.(bravofly). I was not provided with the immigration form on flight rather after  landing at the airport. After reaching the domestic airport it got to my senses that air india belongs to star alliance and etihad  doesnt. In this case  such a  ticket shouldnt have been issued in the first place.  Is there a written rule somewhere saying that the airline is responsible for getting me to the end destination.  Airlindia blames Etihad and eithad  says sorry but we dont provide compensation in this case.

daveyjp :  Nowhere in the ticket does it state 'self transfer'.  I booked this ticket via checkfelix.at.(bravofly) and i have one booking reference number.
Searching the same flight on the same website it clearly states "Eigenständiger Transfer" between the domestic and international flight in India which a quick google says is the german equivalent of self transfer.

A single booking reference is irrelevant, you could book a dozen different holidays on a single transaction what matters is how many tickets were issued which you will be able to tell by the Ticket ID/reference rather than booking reference.

Etihad didnt tell Air India because Etihad didnt know/it wasnt a continuous ticket. If it was a continuous ticket then Etihad would have been responsible for getting you to your destination and costs involved due to missed connections but as this was almost certainly 2 tickets its not their responsibility but yours.
