Morning. The gc's took a pounding yesterday, I have eight or nine plants [ok, maybe ten or twelve] to put out, nothing really big though, some rockery type plants and drought tolerant ones because although it might rain a lot here, the ground will be absolutely bone dry when it starts getting hot. Must look into a mini waterbutt for the front garden. I also got my scone, the guy on the till said wait three minutes, and it'll be two for one, so I did and it was. Lovely guy. It's currenty sitting in the fridge for OH. And I got my myself a little patio planter thing for lettuces for close to the house. I wanted a wooden one but this one was reduced to half price [ 35 quid] so I will try this one and then if it''s a viable idea, I'll make a nice one for next year. My ankle is playing up today so it'll be hobbling to the M&S cafe with a friend for lunch and then a 50th birthday tonight..It's all go here. OH did send me a text last night before coming back saying he was glad we hadn't had kids, he was not regretting it, he was absolutely exhausted...I laughed.camelot, congratulations, well done and well done to the generous donater [I'm guessing Gers
] coxy, same to you, hope your day goes quickly, and sad story about your friends dad. I've always found them quite funny because they're super inquisitive, but also super scaredy cat. Whixh is not to say I want to be in a field with no escape with them. Scarlet, I have a straight black skirt with pockets, very useful, so a vote for pockets too...Abba, hope she has a nice day. carol, have a good time, the view from up there is amazing. Gers, I'm glad you made a youngling sigh
TA, fortitude for your visit. Take care all.

Hi everyone,
Happy birthday Poppy, I hope you have a lovely day.
TA, I hope you have a good visit with your friend.
I'm aching all over today. I spent the day with Crystal and Nate yesterday, she wasn't very well so I went over to help and spent the day chasing after an eight month old testing his mobility limits. My body is no longer able to get up and down with the ease it used to!
I'd say I was taking it easy today but I have committed to making three big lasagnes today - a meat one, a veggie one and a salmon one for a family event tomorrow. I am plotting ways to make things as effiicient as possible. I'm also making a carrot cake as well and will try to fit in a cherry cake for Crystal.
Have a good day.12 -
Morning all, blue skies here but showers expected later.Poppy- Happy Birthday and enjoy your friends visits xCamelot, well done with the swimming! Also Coxy on your walking.TA, hugs for you and your dear friend. This afternoon we are going to a memorial and scattering of ashes for ex SILs mum. She and her siblings finally decided to do it as only 6 could go to her funeral during lockdown, so it's a short service then placing her ashes with other family members. They are having a gathering at the golf club ( the one where I became a social member ! & where I took e x SIL recently) She must have liked it, it has been done up very nicely. Her DM was a lovely gentle ladyWe've drafted in DS1 to pick up one of the DGC from school as we'll not be back in time, not sure what to do about tea, there may well be food on at the golf club. Yesterday we had some chicken kebabs and salmon sizzlers from the T order, which DS gave the thumbs up for, they were nice- cooked in the ninjagrill . There are some burgers he can have if we don't need tea.DH had the injection in his hip yesterday, seems to be walking better already. We know it's a stop gap but at least he's in the system now for hip and knee surgery at some point. The consultant will review him in 3 weeks.Right admin jobs to do, DH has kindly left me a list of people to pay, which thankfully I can do now online banking access has been restored...again!Take care all x

Morning all
Dry and bright here for now but more rain due later, we have been lighting the fire for the last few nights as it’s been so cold.
Off to get my nails done this morning which is always a treat and this afternoon I need to do my tax return, not so enjoyable 😒
Dinner tonight will be a baked sweet potato with cheese and beans and some salad nice and easy.
TA I hope your visit goes well it’s going to be hard for you I think xx
Poppy Happy Birthday xx

Have good days all and take care xxx
