Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Raining at the moment, lots a laying water - rain started sometime during the night - forecast to stop at lunchtime.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was LO's -chicken and mushroom pie, gammon, gratin potatoes and veg. Not sure what we'll be eating tonight, will sort when I food shop this morning.
Day off today lots to do so see how it goes.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's dry here, but grey, I think rain is forecast. Yesterday was bright and sunny, but very cold.
I was busy yesterday, I made 3 of dd's favourite chicken pies and cheese scones, she called to collect them, and there were the other usual household jobs.
I've bought some fabric to make a plain black straight skirt, and would love to start it but it'll have to wait till we come back. I don't need it for any particular occasion, just thought it would be handy to have.
We need to be ready to go away on Wednesday morning by Monday evening really, as it's dil's dad's funeral on Tuesday, so I'm cracking on. Though we are used to going away in the van, and there are clothes waiting to be taken over today.
Hope everyone has a good day today, take care folks13 -

Morning All
Another sunny day in store although that chilly wind is still with us. Bedding on the line, usually do it at the weekend but I think the weather is to change tomorrow so will make the best of the sunshine.
My swim is finished! 22 miles completed in just under a month so I'm pleased with that. Over £500 raised for Diabetes UK, one very generous donation from someone on here, thank you.
Friday at last, hoping for a calmer day, the last few days have been madly busy and the behaviour shocking, can't believe the language some of the children use.
Well done on your walk Coxy, do you know how many miles you covered?
Glad you got your currency sorted eventually Gers.
Hoping everyone is well, hope Nanny pops by soon. Take care. XX13 -
Morning folks.Another one with a bright sunny morning, just need a little more heat with it. Next week will be much colder. The long wait yesterday was mostly productive. I used some time well and frittered away some of it too. I rummaged in the freezer, dug out some veggies and rearranged things to keep them at the top. My currency arrived with the postie. £200.00 turned into 310,000 Korean 'won', I feel rich!Later on my new phone was delivered, it took ages to set up but I enjoyed the fiddling around, until my 4G mobile broadband data was completely used up. Normally I only use less than half of my data. 😱 Had a chat with an agent at EE and decided to pay an extra £10.00 a month for unlimited data. Once it'd kicked in I fiddled with setting up more. Had to ring one bank as I messed up their procedure - the chap there actually sighed, I'm sure he'd heard the same story umpteen times. Well, they have a stupid process! 😀
This morning I may well do a little light shopping. I'm out every day next week so need a bit of planning rather than seeing what's there. I've got some homemade soup to use up today, could be time to make more but not right now.Camelot - congratulations, it's been a huge effort.Scarlet - great organisation.Abba - happy birthday to your mum.Carol - that sounds a good day out.Thoughts to our poorlies. Happy Friday to all.13 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @nmlc x
WFH today thank goodness. Both bosses at an offsite meeting for the majority of the day. I'm popping to see a good friend at lunchtime as his DMum died whilst I was away walking. Would rather see him than send a card in the post.
We've covered around 500 miles of 1200 @camelot1001 - hard to tell as we've walked some parts of the Great Glen Way and WHW twice as first time had to bail early and there's no easy way to rejoin en route, particularly the WHW! Very well done on your swim. I'm a rubbish swimmer and would love to be more confident.
@IzzyBee - your cow story was funny but can you believe a work colleague told me her friends Dad was trampled to death by a cow, so I feel we had a very lucky escape! We too had to scale a dry stone walled topped with 2 lines of barbed wire. Took us a while as you can imagine!
Dinner out tonight with friends so not very MSE as we usually get a takeaway. All hike washing was line dried yesterday so that's to put away. I also need to make a shopping list and meal plan for next week. Not sure what we've got in as DH has been doing the shopping whilst I was away. DS2 off to Brighton with his mates for the weekend - he's still upset over his break up but glad he's got good friends to spend time with.
Have a good day everyone and shout out to all our missing posters. Please let us know you're doing okay.

Morning allIt's absolutely pouring down here in Kent and according to the forecast it's staying like that until noon. Washing will have to go on the airer today then!Off out food shopping later dodging the raindrops. I must make a list before I go too. After having a week off work because of my knee I've bought an exercise bike to see if that will help strengthen it so I don't have so many flare ups. Up to 2kms a day so far. Hopefully I'll be able to increase that slowly.Well done Camelot on your swim.Hugs and spoons to every one x12

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. It's a lovely sunny start for us, hard to believe heavy rain is due later.
I am visiting BFF this morning and already feeling very churned up. Although it will be lovely to see her I know I will find it very upsetting. If her confusion is worse it will be difficult to hold a conversation. And her mobility is really bad now according to her DIL.
What the day holds after that I have no idea. The opticians sent a text that my specs are now ready to collect but I think I will leave that until tomorrow.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need of them. Take care one and all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -
