Inter-railing insurance

My child is travelling with friends this summer inter-railing through Europe for one month. I was just wondering if anyone could advise me on what special insurance was needed or what kind of insurance I need for them?

They should all carry GHIC cards in case they have a drink or do something adventurous not covered by their insurance. After that any policy that covers what you/they want to cover. Cancellation and personal possesions will be low down on the list of priorities. For me it would be all about health insurance and instilling in them what they are NOT covered for.....If using GHIC in isolation it would also be about where they should not go which may be countries like Switzerland that are covered by GHIC but could be very expensive using it..0
