Samsung A53 from S8

I have just got an A53 but it only has space for 1 card which is of course the sim, my Samsung S8 has 2 card is what difference will this make?

If your phone is locked to a carrier it can only use 1 sim and a micro SD card. If it is unlocked it can do the same or have 2 sims.
