That depends... if they were instructed to do the work as originally stated then it can be the case but the OP also mentions that they think they may be cowboys and werent instructed to do the work which would move it into a v different placeBEBELUCA2017 said:Are the HA vicariously liable for the actions of the contractors though? The OP probably either needs to take this on the chin and suffer the costs to repair, or present a claim on their motor insurance and allow the motor insurer to pursue recovery from any other party (landlord or the contractor) if there is sufficient evidence and the prospect of recovery is realistic. Any recovery from third party would IMO most likely be from the contractor's insurer.0
