RM weights for parcels confusion!

Packed a parcel last night to be picked up by RM. Medium size but pretty lightweight.
Checked RM site for latest prices etc and noted medium parcel max 2kg same as small parcel.
Parcel weighed 2.4kg so reluctantly undid the whole thing and repacked and got it down to 1.9kg. YAY!
Booking pick up online I couldn't believe that it gave max weight as 2.5kg for medium parcel. I could have saved myself a whole lot of stress.
Checked RM sites this morning to make sure of the weights for different sizes and it gives conflicting weights depending where you look.
Can anyone tell me why it is stated as 2 kg (for med parcel)but when coming to book in it was 2.5kg?

If I do a dummy run on click and drop I have to choose whether parcel is under or over 2kg. If I choose over 2kg I get a price of £5.99 for 2nd class standard. If I go to the price PDF again it shows up to 2kg and then over 2kg, (over 2kg dearer of course at £6.99 as it is over the counter prices) I can’t see anywhere showing the same price for an under or over 2kg parcel

where did you see the price being the same for under or over 2KG?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I sent it "tracked 48" online price was £5.15.
When RM bring new prices out I just print the basic section so I don't have to keep checking site every time and it stated 2 kg same as small parcel.
When I booked in I ticked the box under 2.5 kg when I expected it to be 2 kg box and it was that that threw me.

Where did you see the 2.5kg exactly? Looking at Royal Mail today and it stated up to 1kg, 2kg, 5kg, 10kg.0

Oops! sorry everyone, I think I clicked on 250 g (thinking it was 2.5 kg) when I should have clicked on 2kg.
I have just gone through the order again on RM website clicking both boxes (250g and then 2kg) and it came out the same price as I have paid £5.15.
Will there be a problem with this as I have paid the correct postage?0 -

some places don't even weigh them or check the dimensions. some places I have been a few grammes/millimeters over and they just turn a blind eye and say it's at my risk and I might get charged extra but I never have been thus far1 -
It was picked up this morning by RM. I printed the label myself.0
