The current Zurich policy pays out the sum assured of £40k if I die or diagnosed with a critical or terminal illness (as per the T&Cs). I might be slipping up on the critical/terminal illness possibly.

Based on what you've put on the previous post the L&G cover only provides £11,914 if you are diagnosed with a critical illness whereas the Zurich plan would provide £40,000. You are far more likely to claim on the critical illness cover than the life cover AND the critical illness would be to YOUR benefit so personally, if you were my client, I'd be almost certainly strongly advising you against making the change to L&G and that it does not represent good value for money.martyp said:The current Zurich policy pays out the sum assured of £40k if I die or diagnosed with a critical or terminal illness (as per the T&Cs). Thankyou, was great to get the advice. Much appreciated. I did worry I was too focussed on the face value of what seemed like potential savings but losing out loads. When I bump up the CI element to £40k the premiums elsewhere do change significantly so paints Zurich in a better light.Weighty1 said:

The £85 or so cashback wouldn't help much compared to the extra £28k or so I'd get if I had a CI claim.0
