ESA/WCA

Made application for ESA new style got my invitation to attend local jobcentre yesterday with work coach. I have been given claiment commitment to inform DWP of any changes. The work coach said she will phone me in 6 weeks time and I should get a letter in the post telling how much £ I'm going to get.

I want to ask when will I get my WCA form ESA50 do I have to request?

Thanks

ESA will refer your case to the assessment contractors (CHDA) and then CHDA will normally* send you an ESA50.to fill in and send back.
If you want to get a head start then you can download an ESA50, fill it in online, print it off and send it back in the envelope they provide. It will be a very tight fit if you print it single sided.

(I've done it that way twice and have an ESA50 on my laptop to just update when needed. I used a bigger envelope and sellotaped their pre-paid one to it. - I'm going to have to copy/paste that onto a UC50 next time because I voluntary migrated myself to UC).
*I've put normally there because it is possible for them to make an appointment for a WCA without sending an ESA50 first. An assessment is quite valid without an ESA50, the questions asked are the same.
Also note that most WCAs are done by telephone nowadays.
