You're aware that you are likely to have to get a new tenancy just in your name?
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

People trying to pull takesy backsy on gifts because they broke up with someone are pathetic, petty and more than audacious. Quite frankly anyone pulling that stuff can get right in the bin.

some people are just strange. My daughters soon to be ex-mother-in-law asked for everything she had purchased back...including the loo brush and then the cheese grater...quite sad.

I *thought* (I could be completely wrong and have imagined this) that you couldn't be the sole person insured on a car if the car is in someone's name. I have a vague memory of something along these lines anyway.
I'm not sure you're right, because it is perfectly possible for a car to be owned by someone who does not and indeed cannot be insured to drive it, eg my friend has such poor eyesight that she cannot drive, but she owns a car which other family members drive.
I could be thinking of fronting buuuttt  I've now recalled that a long time ago DH's Uncle wanting to lend me their car  for a few months as they weren't using it and I didn't have one. The insurance company I contacted refused to insure me on the grounds it wasn't my car, it was in the Uncle's name who lived elsewhere in the country. It is however some time ago (late 90s) and might have just been that particular insurance company.

Myself and ex Mr Spouse talked to each other about it. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but we spent an afternoon going through the entire house cupboard by cupboard, aiming to end up with roughly half each.
It wasn't as difficult as either of us had imagined it was going to be. Some things were simple - the sofa he sat on went to him, the sofa I sat on went to me. Things he'd brought with him went to him, gifts from 'his' people went to him. It turned out there were some things neither of us wanted!!
No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...
