Hi there. Sorry for my long absence. Have had a lot going on lately.
There aren't many nurseries nearby to us, as they are usually in the countryside, and we live 5 miles out of Birmingham city centre, I don't drive myself, so it's when both me and hubby can go. I didn't know there was a difference between nurseries and garden centres? We usually go to Planters which is by Tamworth or Melbicks with is Coleshill area.
@SuzyQ52 thank you for recommending Thompson & Morgan, I will look at them.

I’ve never had much success with T&M. Bought 4 magnolia trees from them and all died over the period of 2 years (one was dead on arrival). Bought 2 miniature cherry trees and one of those looks like it has died in it’s second year. Have also bought a variety of other perennials over the years from them and not many of those have survived either. About the only thing which has survived is 6 hostas which I bought about 10 years ago.

I often use Thompson & Morgan. I’ve found their stuff quite good.  If you joking they’re “Gardening Club” for a year it costs £10 and you get money off everything plus 4 x £5 money off coupons.

If I want something special I have a look at local garden centre.  The stock is first class but expensive.
