Morning all
Lovely sunny day here. Just off to get nails done. All my OS ways enable me to treat myself! Booked up to go to Skygarden on a free ticket, don’t think we could afford to eat and drink there!Carolbee10 -
Hi all,
The latest trek finished yesterday with a walk along the Lune Valley towards Lancaster from Kirkby Lonsdale. We knew at 16.5 miles it would be too long for our last day so made it 6.5 miles to Arkholme where we waited for the bus (one every two hours) to Lancaster. Got home about 9pm and in the office today - I am cream crackered. Yesterdays highlights included being crowded by cows - big cows - and having to wade through the Lune river as the cows put us off our route!Hope everyone has a lovely day

Taff, Alnwick is a bit far for you I think! There are some lovely gardens to visit all over the country though. Hope you visit the Morris place though, I imagine it'll be well worth it.7

Taff DD had quite a few run ins with people when she had a blue badge for little one. One day I was with her and we were just getting out the car when an older couple started shouting that we were pinching 'their' parking space...DD very slowly lifted the oxygen cylinder and the milk machine out of the car first and then lifted little one up in the air so they could see that she was attached to both before putting her in her pushchair.
Also once got hassle from a ticket collector on a train who said very loudly that we shouldn't have little one's pram in a disabled space ( which we had permission to use ) and we'd have to take her out and fold it up. When he was finished, DD said, just as loudly, perhaps it's because she's disabled? He didn't know what to say.
On a serious note though, I couldn't believe how many people would stop and stare at her as a baby in the pram with her tubes - DD used to get upset about it - some would even ask what was 'wrong ' with her - it certainly made DD toughen up quickly.
Anyways I really enjoyed A man called Otto this afternoon - well worth seeing7 -
Yes, it s very unpleasant. I was told by a woman that I shouldn’t have a blue badge. I asked her “how does inoperable
cancer grab you?” And she disappeared quite quickly.4
