Good morning, It's an early start today - I've been awake for a long time and thought I might as well get up.
It seems to be fine and dry, not fully light yet, yesterday was an ok day but there was a nippy little wind.
There's not a lot planned for today - I've got to go to the Post Office to collect a parcel, and post a card to Australia, and there's odds and ends of shopping to do.
I'll probably pop back on here later to see what everyone is up to.
Have a good day and take care folks.

Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, and supposed to be warmer and dry this week - we'll see. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was a thrown together egg, bacon, and bits from the fridge and freezer that needed using up.
Half day at work today.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
Dry and bright this morning, shame I don't have any washing to do! Yesterday was a glorious day with lots of sunshine after a murky start. Washing all dried and put away.
Slept in a bit this morning so trying to wake up to get going, we have a really busy day at work with an important visitor, cue much panicking by the HT!
Better swim last night, just 2 more miles to go. Tonight and tomorrow should see it done although I think I may have a hair appointment tomorrow, must check.
Hope everyone is ok, have a good day. Take care. XX9 -
Morning - thanks for starting us off Scarlet. It's a beautiful morning, so lovely to have clear skies and the promise of sun.My visit to the bank came to nought yesterday. They can only order currency via a separate tablet which wasn't working. I'll go back this morning. Later on I booked the mobile valet bloke to come here on Sunday, something I've been dithering about for ages. It's mostly for the interior as it gets crumbs and coffee spills on it. Mind you, the swallows are back 😀 and are already making their mark on my car which they always consider in the way of their nesting place. My big barn has been used for years. When I first moved here I used to park my car inside the barn - huge mistake during swallow time. 😱This morning my gardener is coming, first time this year. I'm not convinced that she can get the grass cut though I live in hope. There's enough other stuff to keep her busy, she enjoys clearing out and cutting back, both of which are needed. I also have to try to rearrange my hair appointment, I've double-booked myself tomorrow, sometimes I'm such a numpty!
Starting next week it's exams time here in Scotland so I have my allocation of Invigilation sessions again. I'll miss 10 days of it but still have the usual six sessions which isn't too difficult.
Right, off to start my day. I hope that everyone is doing well and able to get out into the sun. Happy Wednesday to all.10 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I'm another that's been up and at 'em since silly o'clock. Bah! It's still a bit grey out there but a nice day is forecast.
I have an Ocado delivery booked 7.30 - 8.30 and I'm hoping it's the early time. An e-mail tells me I have nothing oos or subbed. It's mostly f & v, quite a bit of fridge stuff and bready items for the freezer so won't take a lot of putting away.
It's then bus trip day and it will make a change having a nice day for it! Probably Skipton again and maybe the market will be at full strength again. We are both determined to chose something different for lunch after the scrumptious pies on the last two trips but we might easily be tempted by them!
I actually got on with sorting out all the pots in the back garden yesterday. There seems to be a lot of casualties out there sadly. Some have hit the garden wheelie already but a couple are still waiting for possible signs of life. I got the perennial evergreens potted and the summer bulbs but I may have left it too late for them this year as the ones already established are shooting up. All this was achieved with numerous pit stops to ease my legs but it felt so pleasant out there I was happy to keep sitting in the sunshine resting them.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better, MIA or just sad. (IZZY that boss's wife defies words grr) Take care all and be safe xx

Morning everyone bright but that breeze is chilly I had fluffy socks on for bed last night I was never warm all day STS at WW last night but we had a women come from another group and what she said really clicked with me I’ve been messing about the last five weeks but I’m back on it with a different mindset today I will definitely have a loss next week off to work in a minute it’s my long day today I hate Wednesdays but for the good news I managed to get through to my energy company last week I was over a thousand pounds in credit and I’ve asked for it back and it’s hit my account today it will be earning me a bit of interest rather than them I had my doubts about getting it but it will help out with coal and logs for next winter and hopefully I will have built a bit of credit up between now and the winter . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all, bit grey here with a few blue patches. Still breezy though. Yesterday was lovely and I too did a bit of messing with the pots at the back TAI'm aiming to catch the 9 o clock bus into town to go swimming and collect my free leisure pass. I want to go a bit easier today as last week I was aching after. Had a nice walk through the park, lots of dogs around and a couple came for a sniff & pat- must have been able to smell pooch!I reorganised the freezers yesterday, emptied all out so I could see what I had. Lets say I don't need to make any more soup for the forseeable
, but I found some meat packs in the depths of the chest freezer so I don't need a butchers pack yet, and I've taken a hm ready meal for later. I chucked some naan bread and some turkey slices that had freezer burn but that was all so not too bad.
The hot water on the heating system seems to have stopped working so I've had to put the immersion heater on for a bit, further investigation required!Hope you all have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning everyone
Nice bright morning here again...I've got some washing in so will get that hung outside later. Spent most of the afternoon outside at nursery yesterday it was so lovely...they're very easy looked after outside! I was meant to be increasing my hours again, but I've told my boss that I can't which she was fine with. The problem is I look ok.
I'll be going down to mam and dads for a cuppa this morning then I'm stewarding at our local cinema this afternoon. It's A man called Otto - I'm looking forward to it as I really like Tom Hanks and missed it the first time they had it on.
I've got a Tesco order to tweak - it's coming tomorrow - I'm determined to get it to under £50.
Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Morning all
Dry and bright here and I am off to collect my private client and take him to his work, it’s always a nice day there and being able to leave when we like is nice 😃
We had a lovely day yesterday with the harbour walk, we walked 3.5 miles which is good for some of the clients who don’t like walking, but as soon as we turned the corner and walked along the sea the wind picked up and it was freezing 🥶 the guys are so stoical though and just got on with it, we had a freezing picnic lunch and then stopped for a warm cuppa in the cafe when finished.
Dinner tonight will be breakfast for dinner, bacon sausage egg and bread and butter, I have a few bits that need eating up.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning all. Not sunny but not raining. WM is on for the first wash, OH brough the washing down - unasked! - he's learning...so that's going on the line today. I cut and strimmed the grass yesterday, thinking of nannys admonition that if you haven;t got time to strim you haven't got time to cut it properly..Then I went a bit crazy with the pruning but the two rosemary bushes, the pittisporum [ one branching trunk died in the winter] are rpuned and the weeds are in the green bin ready for tomorrows pick up. The recycle men and the plastics men have been so far this morning which just leaves the normal bin. I made the curry guys base sauce last night so that has to be whizzed and frozen today in bags, along with a chorizo and pepper type affair, made pasta sauce with that and the leftovers today will be whizzed and frozen to go with polenta or something. One freezer was gone through, the other one is going to be done today and I will write up a new inventory. Gosh, it just struck me about Nelskis freezers. She always said you needed more freezer space as a singleton for all the leftovers...and her freezers were always full to bursting..camelot, good to hear there;s not much left, sorry for keeping on about resting but you know, worry and all that. Gers, how lovely they come back every year. TA, enjoy the day out..Scarlet, in your honour I researched gardens to visit and realised William Morris house is not far away so am planning a trip there. I did look up Alnwick gardens but they're practically in Scotland so won't be day tripping there anytime soon...
Izzy, I found when my head wasn;t in the game I let tracking go a bit and lied ot myself about I was doing it properly..but indefinite dieting is a toughie, so it's a bit swings and roundabouts after a certain amount of time..You can do it
dp1, I know what you mean. I got asked did I have a blue badge the other day when parking in the disabled, I had to explain, yes thank you, can't walk far, but all my limbs are intact. Ruby, love a breakfast for dinner...Take care all, shout to the missing or the rare posting...
