    I suspect it's also weather related - seem to be worse in dry warm weather. That make any sense?
    Years ago before we switched to Satelite iur signal/reception changed twic a year. Once when trees and such  blossomed and then when they shed their leaves

    I learnt all about yagi arrays at college in the 60s. All I remember is that the frequency it covers is determined by the length of the elements and how directional by the number of elements.
    Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

     Aerials usually have a coloured plastic end cap in the main bar which identifies the group.

    TV aerial groups, the frequencies and UHF channels they cover, and the corresponding colour associated with that aerial band. Group A – Red – UHF Channels 21-37 – 470-606Mhz Group B – Yellow – UHF Channels 35-53 – 582- 734Mhz Group C/D – Green –UHF Channels 48-68 – 686Mhz – 854Mhz
