Company Claiming Liquidation

Hi all,

On the 27th February I received an email from the company I was working for saying that they were going into liquidation and that there was no money to pay anyone.

They used a company called Phoenix business solutions to facilitate this but to this day they have not told us who the liquidators are, and I’m thinking they may not be going into liquidation at-all?

I got another email today saying that they will be picking their van up, but surely tho would be done through the liquidators?

If they have claimed they are going into liquidations and do not proceed with it, is this legal? And if there is a liquidation company should they be collecting their assets and not the company itself?

Thanks in advance!
