What do you mean by the "Nil kWh cap" and "m cap"?DPF8591 said:Does anyone know where I can get the value for the Nil kWh cap and the m cap for any given charging period. Thanks0 -
I think what you are looking for is in the Ofgem website where you should search for "default tariff cap level" which will lead to the spreadsheet which is the basis of the price caps.0

For example the values for April 2023 are at the link near the bottom of this page (click default tariff cap level:1 April 2023 to 30 June 2023) to get them in a PDF or use the link below it if you want it in spreadsheet form

Surely this is as simple as if you know the standing charge (which should be shown on the bill) just multiplying it by the relevant number of days for the period you are interested in?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
Balance as at 01/09/23 = £115,000.00 Balance as at 31/12/23 = £112,000.00
Balance as at 31/08/24 = £105,400.00 Balance as at 31/12/24 = £102,500.00
£100k barrier broken 1/4/25
Balance as at 31/08/25 = £ 95,450.00. Balance as at 31/12/25 = £ 91,100.00

It could be to compare what the actual charge was against the capped amount.EssexHebridean said:Surely this is as simple as if you know the standing charge (which should be shown on the bill) just multiplying it by the relevant number of days for the period you are interested in?0 -

The discount split in p far closer than the ratio of gas and electric SC rates. And for OP - remember the nil kWh table is annual ex VAT - as it is for the business use - not the retail / home customers.1

To be fair, the tables aren't really meant for consumers.
But I do also find it annoying the old tdcv tabulation doesnt match the current cap for SR electric (3100 vs 2900) and as total amount includes the SC.
For SR and gas - EDF tables are much better format for consumers. Even for e7/e10 etc standing charge but not the unit rates that vary significantly between suppliers and regionsl0
