Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Dry underfoot, and supposed to be warmer and dry this week - we'll see. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was HM chicken and mushroom pie, chips, veg and gravy. Tonight I'm not sure but will find something.
Work was ok, today will be busier.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.
It's a grey damp start here. Yesterday brightened up in the afternoon, it was quite nice, still a chilly little breeze though.
We had planned to go to Alnwick Gdns to see the cherry blossom, but were a bit later than usual going.
There was a problem with one of my regular prescription items, which required several phone calls to the pharmacy and the Drs, being on hold each time.
However, it was sorted out eventually and we got there.
The cherry blossom was lovely, quite spectacular. It was busy there, mainly old folks like us!I
We went to Alnmouth before coming home, that was nice as usual.
Not much happening today except a bit of food shopping, and the quiz tonight.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.12 -
Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Glad you enjoyed your trip to Alnwick Scarlet, shame you had to wait for your prescription.
Very busy at work yesterday, not helped by me not feeling 100%. I gave up at 3.30 and came home, had a rest and went for a swim. Felt a bit better after. It was a very early night, thankfully I woke up before the alarm should have gone off, asked Alexa to cancel the alarm and she said it hadn't been set!
Chimney sweep coming after work, hoping for another swim later - 19 down, 3 to go. May have to have a rest next week!
Hope everyone is well, special hugs to you Ruby. Take care. XX12 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A bit of a misty start for us but the sun is (allegedly) forecast to come out shortly.
I'm just enjoying a peaceful coffee before it's time to make sure the 2 girlies are on the move (DD was on a night shift at the hospice so they stayed here) The usual sausage sandwiches have been requested for breakfast so they are in the airfryer in readiness. A school friend's mum is picking them up for the school run.
What with the vet appointment, meeting my DF for lunch and then having the girls for tea and sleepover yesterday ended up a busy day. If the sun does come out I want to finally make an attempt to sort out all the pots at the back. The harsh winter seems to have killed off some of the perennials. I have a couple of new ones, and some summer bulbs, yet to plant up then when it's time some geraniums will go in the rest.
My only fixed plan for today is my annual telephone appointment with the pharmacist about all my meds. It's all a bit of a waste of time really but I suppose it keeps someone in a job!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better or MIA. Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning folks.Despite the awful weather first thing yesterday the skies cleared and the sun came out and brought some heat to it. I enjoyed being outdoors, had a wander round the garden and went into town for some veggies and fruit. Using up stocks is all very well but some freshness is needed too. A lot of time was spent re-arranging my physio appointment but it's now set for next week. I then got an automated phone call to confirm my other hospital appointment in Glasgow, it took me eight pressings of numbers to confirm it. Surely a simple text or call would do it instead. Hey, ho it's done now.All this talk of Alnwick and Almouth is sending me back into my memories, such lovely ones too.My thoughts are with all the poorlies, those who are sad and our missing. Happy Tuesday to all.10

Morning everyone we haven’t seen any sunshine it’s a bit milder but that’s about it work is as busy as ever in fact it’s manic I don’t know where it’s coming from and unbelievable I got up this morning and my bosses wife had sent me a message saying she had worked out how much I could earn before tax so I would be able to do a few hours and not get taxed next year when I retire she will be getting told when I go in today she is cheeky fond . Off to one off my cleaning jobs now then straight to work believe me I’m ready for her . Then straight to WW see what the scales have in store for me . Nice to hear about your trip to Alnwick scarlet we have never been to the castle because when we are up Northumberland we have the dog and it’s not dog friendly pleased you are feeling a bit better Camelot I am going to see what the weekend brings weather wise and I’m going to book the chimney sweep I think he has quite a list so it will be a while before he comes . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Dry and bright looking here and set in for a nice day, three people coming today and they have requested a walk and a picnic - lovely, I have a place in mind a nice walk through a nature reserve which ends up in a little harbour overlooking the sea, we can picnic there and then walk back.
Dinner tonight will be chicken breast and something ,i might do creamy garlic chicken with cous cous but I will see what we feel like later.
I have tidied this morning and will run the hoover over before my guests come.
Have good days all and take care xxx11 -

Morning all. Sunny! I think a day of garden beckons being as the green bin is being emptied on Thursday, it's time to cut some soggy grass. I could set out the bamboo poles as well, I discovered the garden center delivers so time to think about rejigging the garden in earnest. The trays in the greenhouse could do with an empty and refill too. I'll see how far i get. It's probably time for a wm load or two as well. Me and my butterfly mind will probably end up doing something completely different...camelot, yes, have a rest this week too! Izzy, what an absolute cheek...You know you're the lynchpin of anywhere if they want to keep you in retirement..sounds like she's panicking a bit..TA, same here, the fushias are dead as well as a few others that normally survive. Ruby, sounds like a wonderful job
Take care all..

Morning all, nice & bright but breezier than yesterday, which felt strangely warmAnother hitch with our banking yesterday, thought we were ok again after the scam but DH made a payment to me on Sunday to give back what had been taken. I only checked yesterday and it hadn't gone in. Went to check the business account and access was denied so he came back to use the landline to get on to the bank ( bad signal where they are working). He eventually got through to someone and after explaining it all & her looking at it , she managed to cut him off before she'd fully sorted it! Repeat call from scratch... they said it would take about 4 days to get access back. Shame their security wasn't that vigilant in the 1st place
> Just hope we get access back by Friday as there are always wages and payments to be made .....and breathe.....
Back on the school run yesterday too, nice to catch up with DGS friends Mums that usually walk up together and wait for the boys. No bad traffic either. We let ourselves in as DS hadn't got back, and I got quite a few hugs off DGS - think he missed us when on hol! Of course 1 of the hugs had to be the one where he squeezes my ribs as hard as he can, think I'll have to stop that one soon, he's getting too strong. Once back home the l.o curry went down well. I've got beefburgers out for tonight. I think today I'll sort the freezers as I don't think there's too much meat left.
Ruby your planned day with your guests sounds really nice.Bye for now, hugs for those in need of one, or two - help yourselves!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)10 -
