Slooow Mortgage Application- Large Deposit

Howdy,
Naive FTB here.
Slightly unique situation: both my partner and I have lost a parent this year and received inheritance, meaning we can put down £200k deposit. We had offer accepted on £295k & broker applied to Barclays. Valuation was completed within 48 hrs but since we've had loads of requests for info because on the other hand our situation is perhaps far from ideal:

Me: Fixed term contract, been in post 3 years and 2 years remaining. £35k per year. Long history of fixed terms.

Partner: self-employed with some PAYE work. Last year very inactive due to bereavement & dealing with estate but up-to-date tax records stretching back 6 years. Fluctuating income throughout.

We've obviously applied for £95k mortgage & hoped deposit would mitigate risk but it's been nearly 3 weeks since submission... thoughts? Are we getting worried about nothing?
