OVO Energy Balancing Adjustment

Hi, when SSE transferred my account over to OVO Energy, they removed my accumulated credit balance with a balancing adjustment. This has now disappeared from the billing records and OVO continue to advise higher direct debit payments to catch up. If I add up the monthly direct debits from my bank account, it confirms they have lost the money paid that created the accumulated credit. I have called OVO over 20 times, used their online help services but the operators hang up when they have to go off script, log the fault but never call back and this morning their telecom services are down (coincident with truing up the 12 months billing?) The current billing looks like they are trying to roll the problem into the financial/billing year. Anyone else got this problem or know it is being fixed? I am beyond frustrated.

Fortunately I was able to copy the transition bill showing their adjustment, but hey have removed that information from their system now. Happy to share data to get this fixed

  • I am suffering a similar problem, been trying deal with it since April 14th.

No matter how many times I speak to OVO/SSE the problem falls on deaf ears or in SSE's case it's not actually there on their system.

Something fishy is going on as OVO can see a balance adjustment and a new bill generated but SSE cannot.

Similar to yourself 'losing money' A new statement that miraculously didn't come to me but OVO have shows i didn't pay my bills in certain months, bank statements show otherwise. I've been back and forth with the companies now trying to resolve it and going to citizens advice for assistance. I'm teetering on the edge of getting the Ombudsmen involved now.
