No information as to how they allowed it to happen but I’m in a bit of shock that they have not made it more difficult for me and so relieved! It begs the question as to why they refused to refund it in the first place but they clearly knew they were on a hiding to nothing and they knew it would have cost them more in the long run. Thank you all for your kind words of advice and encouragement xIf you want me to definitely see your reply, please tag me @forumuser7 Thank you.
N.B. (Amended from Forum Rules): You must investigate, and check several times, before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my content, as nothing I post is advice, rather it is personal opinion and is solely for discussion purposes. I research before my posts, and I never intend to share anything that is misleading, misinforming, or out of date, but don't rely on everything you read. Some of the information changes quickly, is my own opinion or may be incorrect. Verify anything you read before acting on it to protect yourself because you are responsible for any action you consequently make... DYOR, YMMV etc.0 -

Thank you all for your kind words of advice and encouragement xWell, that's a positive result with seemingly little resistance on Plum's part when you pushed back. If they refuse to provide a clear explanation of what went wrong, then, in your position, I'd be somewhat reluctant to use them in future.Of course, the other concern here is what data of yours was known and abused by this third party, and if this might have implications for you elsewhere.2

Hi
I'm sure you've done this already but I'd check that nothing untoward has happened on any other accounts that are accessed through the same device. I'd also change the device password, change the credentials associated with all accounts, change your email password, and do a scan for malware.
Do you remember anything unusual, like potential phishing emails?
