Hi all, I've got my self into a bit of mess and need some advice.
I've defaulted on 5 accounts due to loss of job. Payment plans will now be set up.
I was wondering in regards to how long they will be on my file for ?
Is it 6 years after the set up of the account? Or the when the account went into default?
Also if a account does not default but you have missed payments do they continue to show up each time.. ie if I missed a payment on April 23 will that show up in Apr 2023 even tho I have had the account for over 10 years

6 years from the date of default.
Then the whole entry is removed, paid or not.
A default should be registered after 3-6 months of missed payments0 -
Thanks so much one more thing If the account is not in default but missed payments continue does the 6 years continue each time a missed payment is registered0

You really need the accounts to default. If they do not then the information will stay on your credit report for 6 years after the account is settled / closed.Aarontoury said:If the account is not in default but missed payments continue does the 6 years continue each time a missed payment is registered0
