fingers crossed you will get a new job soon and the redundancy will be extra cash
Surprisingly unstressed by it but it’s either having savings, or it could be that I am
absolutely full of cold so don't have enough energy to get wound up about it.
There are other roles available and 2 of which are of interest but both would mean a pay cut. Having said that, it may be time for a change of scenery. I have been thinking about it for a while now as the role I do seems to have been in and out of company structures for my whole career and I’m sick of either being redundant or having my job at risk due to restructures. Both would have possibility of progression so now might be the time!
On the plus side I’m on garden leave so I have probably around a month of the consultation period where I can swan around with time to think about wheee I want to go next.28/12/24

I’ve been awol a while as nothing has been happening here other than job hunting, so no chance of being able to do much with my mortgage etc.
But I now have a job and start on Weds 🎉🎉
It’s contracting rather than permie but it’s a pretty hefty daily rate and it’s a 12 month contract. Phew. So busy busy setting up a limited company, business bank account and getting accountancy services sorted. So I’m hoping to start making a bent again on my overpayment target soon!28/12/24
