TERMS AND CONDITIONS for “On the Beach x Magic” (the “Competition”).

 

These terms and conditions (the “Specific Terms”) for the Competition should be read alongside  our general competition terms and conditions at: http://www.bauerlegal.co.uk/radio-competition-terms.html (the “General Terms”) which will also apply to this Competition. Where there is any conflict between these Specific Terms and the General Terms, the Specific Terms shall prevail. 

 

 

1.ENTRY ROUTES AND COSTS	Entries are restricted to one per person.   Entry to the Competition is available via the following routes:   Online at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/ to register for your chance to play on air.
2.COMPETITION MECHANIC AND HOW TO WIN	Listeners must pre-register at https://planetradio.co.uk/magic/competitions/ for their chance to play on air. 1 contestant per day the competition is live will be chosen by random electronic draw for the chance to take part in the on-air competition out of three shortlisted entrants.   Three callers on the short list will be chosen at random to go through to play on air [GE1] and will be contacted the day before the competition is live on air. Once selected as a shortlisted contestant, it is not guaranteed you will be selected to come on-air to play.    Entries are open from the 12th of April (00:01am) – the 20th of April (11:59pm), shortlisted contestants will be contacted from the 14th of April if they are chosen at random to go through to play the competition on air.    Once on-air the entrant will be played a sped-up/‘fast-tracked’ song clip. To win the on-air entrant will be asked to correctly identify the name of the song [GE2] the sped-up/‘fast-tracked’ song clip is representing.  If the entrant is correct, they will be deemed the winner and will be awarded the daily prize (see section 5. THE PRIZE for details). If the entrant guesses incorrectly, another entrant will be randomly selected from the daily shortlist to come on-air to identity the song[GE3]  name. The competition will continue each day until the prize is won.    There will be 1 winner per day from the 17th of April – the 21st of April.    Being selected does not make you a winner, you must correctly guess the answer on air and be told you are a winner by the presenter to be awarded the prize.
3. ENTRY PERIOD	Entries must be submitted during the following entry period:   From Wednesday 12th April at 00.01am (the “Start Time”) to Thursday 20th April at 11.59pm (“End Time”).   Entries received before the Start Time or after the End Time will be invalid.
4. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS	Open to UK residents aged 18 years or over on date of entry.  Our employees (and their family members) or employees of any company involved in the Competition, including any Prize Provider, are not permitted to enter. If anyone has won a competition on any Bauer Media brand (see point below) to the value of £500 or more in the past 6 months, they or any person at the winning address will not be eligible to win the competition. Winning the on-air competition will trigger this condition for the online competition. We reserve the right to disqualify any entrant or winner who does not comply with any of the eligibility criteria and/or is in breach of these Terms. We reserve the right to repeat the competition mechanic or any stage of it in order to draw a winner that fulfils all of the eligibility criteria and is in compliance with these Terms.
5. THE PRIZE	5 x winners will receive the following prize (the “prize”):   £4,000 gift voucher to spend with On the Beach.co.uk    Prizes are non-transferable, non-refundable and no cash alternative will be offered.   Additional Terms and Conditions: On the Beach Limited ("OTB") hereby agrees to supply the Prize (as defined below) to HBVB, a company incorporated in England & Wales (company no. 08453545) whose registered office is Media House, Lynchwood, Peterborough Business Park, Peterborough, PE2 6EA to be used in connection with the giveaway on w/c 17th April 2023 as part of the OTB sponsorship of Magic Breakfast Show. HBVB accepts that the Prize is supplied subject to the Prize conditions set out below and HBVB shall ensure that the recipients of the Prize (the "Winner") is referred to such Prize conditions and made aware that by accepting the Prize, the Winner will be deemed to have accepted and will be bound by the Prize conditions. PRIZE CONDITIONS 1.1       The prize will consist of a holiday voucher worth £4,000 which is redeemable against a package holiday booking (that comprises of a flight and hotel) made with www.onthebeach.co.uk (the "Prize"). 1.2       The Prize can be redeemed against a holiday of any duration, any board type and to any destination which is advertised on OTB’s website (www.onthebeach.co.uk). A Prize can only be redeemed against a holiday booking comprising of a flight and hotel. A Prize cannot be redeemed against flight only or hotel only bookings. 1.3       The Prize must be redeemed by booking a holiday comprising a flight and hotel before 31/12/2024. No extension is possible. Any changes made after the booking has been processed are subject to amendment fees. 1.4       The Prize has a maximum value of £4,000 only. Any cost above this amount is the responsibility of the recipient of the Prize (the "Winner") and must be paid in full at the time of booking. No alternative payment plan or method shall be available to a Winner in any circumstance. 1.5       The Prizes do not include travel insurance, or any other items or expense not specifically stated within the Prize description. All such costs and expenses will be the responsibility of the relevant Winner and members of their travelling party. 1.6       The Winner and their travelling party are responsible for ensuring they (i) hold a valid passport and any necessary visa to travel, (ii) hold all adequate travel insurance policies, and (iii) comply with any other terms and conditions applicable to the Prize. 1.7       Once OTB has been informed of the Winner by the promoter of the competition, OTB will contact the Winner to facilitate the Prize. The Prize cannot be redeemed online. It may only be redeemed upon a telephone booking. The appropriate prize value will be deducted from the overall booking cost and the remaining amount must be paid in full at the time of booking by the Winner. 1.8       Any booking made to redeem a Prize is also subject to OTB’s separate terms of business, and the terms and conditions of the suppliers of the flights and accommodation. Copies of these terms can be found on OTB’s website (www.onthebeach.co.uk/terms_of_business). 1.9       Any fees or costs associated with or incidental to the acceptance or use of a Prize (other than delivery of the same in accordance with these terms) will be the responsibility of the Winner. 1.10    The Prize is subject to availability and OTB reserves the right to replace the Prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond OTB’s control make it necessary to do so. 1.11    The Prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and has no cash value. No cash equivalent will be given. 1.12    OTB will process personal data in line with it’s privacy policy, which can be found at: www.onthebeach.co.uk/privacy

1. DATA PROTECTION. Names, email addresses, and /or telephone numbers (which, for all SMS competitions, will be shared with our SMS provider) will be collected and used to process entries. Winner’s details may be given to a Prize Provider to arrange delivery of the prize.  Your details may remain stored after the End Date but will not be used for marketing unless you have ticked an opt-in box on entry. For SMS entries you automatically consent to receive marketing. You may opt out at any time by texting the word STOP to the relevant text shortcode number. • Where a competition mechanic involves the answering of questions, the correct answers to questions must match our answers to win (or be sufficiently close in our sole reasonable opinion) to be acceptable.
