Well means what it says. Either delete some stuff or download it and put it somewhere else - external hard drive or similar?

Just as everybody says Delete or Move. I recently carried out an exercise consolidating files and was surprised just how much stuff was duplicated. On one of my removeable drives I found a lot of holiday pics duplicated or meaningless now. What was interesting once upon a time no longer is. We visit somewhere once and take the pics but then we visit 2,3,4, or more times and when we look at thye backups we have several versions of the same one.1

It's not going to start deleting you existing items if you don't pay, just won't be keeping a back up copy of any new/newly changed files.
No need, as long as 'your' account is still active, your already uploaded files should be totally fine both there and on your hardrive. They'd only disappear if you delete them, onedrive shuts down or your account gets closed/banned.MorningcoffeeIV said:Move the things you want to keep elsewhere.
Mine's been full for months and my files are fine + on the actual page it says that running out of storage only stops you being able to upload new files or sending/receiving email for that account.

How about using Google Drive as well. If you have, say, photos on one and docs on the other shouldn't be much confusion. Dropbox another alternative.2

Or maybe use pcloud's free 10Gb plan. I've used them for years with no problems. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker1

I know this is a money saving forum but there are some conditions that users should be aware of. The 10GB plan is only 2GB until you jump through some hoops.zagubov said:Or maybe use pcloud's free 10Gb plan. I've used them for years with no problems.
And these in the T&C:
Account inactivity - Free pCloud accounts that have been inactive for 6 months, will be permanently deleted, along with the files inside
....
If you do not correct your overuse (by upgrading your service plan or deleting files), pCloud may, in its sole discretion and without further notice, move files to the Trash of your account on a random basis.
When it comes to protecting precious data I'd be prepared to pay and spread the risk by having different providers as well.

I was going to mention MEGA.nz 's free 50GB of storage but it sems I'm on a legacy offer, it's only 5GB now.1
