WHEESH - lies! lies! lies! - anyone else?

Please can any good person out there give me some advice, I am FURIOUS.
On 10th December I called a company WHEESH to order a decanter set for my other half for Xmas. The poor lady on the phone was full of a cold and as it was just a few mins before closing I offered to place the order on-line, made no difference to me but she sounded like she needed to get off to bed with a lemsip rather than messing with orders.
I ordered via Amamzon and was given an expected delivery of 14th-17th December. On 17th, a little concerned I called the company, they advised that the stock had only just arrived with them that day and my order would be dispatched no problem. On Wednesday 19th I called again and they confirmed that my order had been dispatched and saw no reason why it wouldn’t be with me by this Friday.
I nearly exploded when I received a sneaky email last night (after they were closed and I couldn’t speak to anyone) telling me my order is cancelled – no stock!!!
The problem is, now my order is cancelled on amazon I cant even leave feedback – how many others may this have happened to, if you can’t let others know about their dishonesty they will remain with a good rating and more fools like me will think it is ok to deal with them.
Sorry to waffle on but I am so cross as I angrily bang away here on this keyboard. I know its not the end of the world and its only a present (in the scheme of things not important at all) BUT it is the principle – they lied to me.
When I rang this morning I said that I was not unreasonable and if they had just been honest with me yesterday I would have had another trading day to source an alternative. As I now know that feedback wont show other people who have been treated in this way I was curious to know if anyone else has. Any comments to stop me being in this grump for the rest of the day would be greatly appreciated.:mad: :mad:

  • We all need a waffle sometime :) All I can say is, that's the risk you have with marketplace sellers! I don't touch them apart from tiny little things which I don't need urgently.

    Ebay's usually quicker than amazon sellers!

  • thanks for that Hollydays, they will shortly be getting another unfavourable review - its all I can do, in fact it is my duty to do so, it is my mission to do so. Gosh I didnt realise I was quite this wound up. Still I can always blame PMT or Pre Merry christmas Tension

  • no, mine wasn't even pleasant this morning on the phone - how I wish I could work for Watchdog, instead of stewing and moaning all night, we could out these coybows publically.

    Yes! My boss ordered a bowl from them about 4 weeks ago. She's been chasing it for weeks and they finally said on Monday that it wouldn't arrive before Christmas having been saying for the whole time that it would arrive... I then had to find someone else to get the bowl from which was almost impossible but found a great company and it was delivered today! :) (also a Amazon market place seller but i bought it through the company website rather than Amazon, don't know if that makes a difference?)

    I didn't realise they had bad reviews... but will stay away from them in future!
