Just received a police notice of intended prosecution
Alleged Offence Details
Drive on Rd other than Motorway .fail comply with red/green arrow /lane closure light signals-automatic equipment.This made no sense until I went on line for the picture
Location :A Gunter Grove j/w Fulham Rd N/B SW10 (9885)
It states I jumped the traffic light by 1.1 sec .It was raining and a car was coming up fast behind me so proceeded .
Looks like I have to bite the bullet and get a £100 fine and and three penalty points but is there any worthwhile challenge due to the wet slippery road .based on this

- If a traffic light changes to amber during your approach, you must begin to slow down so that you can stop at the white line. However, if it would be dangerous for you to stop in time, for example, if another car is close behind you and stopping quickly may lead to an accident, you are allowed to drive through an amber light.
