‘Universal Pictures Fast X UK Tour Online Promotion’ on Capital XTRA, April 2023– Specific Rules 

1.              The ‘Universal Pictures Fast X UK Tour Online Promotion’ (‘Promotion’) is organised by Global (as defined in the General Terms and Conditions). The Promotion will run from Friday 14th April 2023 to Sunday 23rdApril 2023 on Capital XTRA. Global is the Promoter. The ‘Promotion Partner’ mentioned in these Specific Rules is Universal Pictures International UK & Eire Ltd. The ‘Prize Providers’ are Global, The NDL Group, and Universal Pictures International UK & Eire Ltd.  

2.              IMPORTANT: The Promotion is subject to these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions which are available here (together, the ‘Promotion Terms and Conditions’). Entry into the Promotion constitutes acceptance of these Specific Rules and the General Terms and Conditions. 

Details of the Promotion: 

3.              To enter the Promotion for the chance of being chosen to take part in the Fast X UK tour, with your own car, at a UK location as detailed below (the “Tour”) you must:  

a.          Go online to the Promotion entry page at www.capitalxtra.com/win and register your details. 

b.           Upload a photo of your car ensuring it is clearly visible. You may also appear in the image alongside your car but this is optional. For the avoidance of doubt only cars will be entered into this Promotion, no other vehicles will be eligible.  

c.           Explain in 500 characters or less the make and model of your car, and why you think it is worthy of joining the Tour. Your reasons why your car should join the Tour could include (but are not limited to) your car being:   

i) a classic car that has been thoughtfully restored or rebuilt or; 

ii) a luxury brand, or your car being famous or modelled on a famous car or; 

iii) brand new or nearly new, has a showroom finish, has distinct aesthetic or mechanical features that differentiate it from other cars or; 

iv) it is visually eye popping or is worthy of winning first place in any category at a car show.  

Together your photo and your reasons why your car should join the Tour make up your entry (your “Submission”). 

d.           As part of the Promotion for the Fast X film, cars inspired by those from the film will be touring the UK and will be on display at 9 specific locations on 9 different dates (full details can be found within the eligibility section below and on the entry online page). You must select two of the UK locations which you would be able and willing to join the Tour in your own car, from the two drop-down boxes on the Promotion online entry page. For clarification if you are selected as a winner you will only join the Tour at one of your selected locations. Additionally if you are selected as a winner for a specific location you will also be entered into the draw to become the overall winner and so will be required to attend the finale event in Birmingham on 19th May 2023.  

4.              Entry photographs must be a maximum size of 10MB and either a JPEG, PNG or HEIC file. 

5.             Online entry will open at 18:00 on Friday 14th April 2023 and close at 23:59 on Sunday 23rd April 2023. Submissions received before or after this time will not be included in the Promotion. 

6.             Within 2 days of the closing time of the Promotion, all eligible Submissions will be entered into a draw. 50 Submissions for each of the 9 UK Tour locations will be selected at random and will be judged by a panel of judges including one independent judge on the following criteria;  

a) Does it visually look like it could appear in a Fast and Furious film? and/ or; 

b) Does it have distinctive visual features that make it look interesting and/or sets it apart from other cars on the roads in the United Kingdom? and/or; 

c) Will it turn heads and grab other people’s attention as you drive it down the street? and/or;

d) Does the written element of your Submission give enough information about the car to support the photo entry? 

7.           One winning Submission will be selected for each of the 9 UK Tour locations based on the set criteria above (9 winning entrants in total), and such winning entrants will be contacted by one of our representatives via email and telephone on the details used to register to enter the Promotion. If such winner does not respond within 24 hours from being contacted, they will forfeit their right to the prize and we shall be entitled to select another winner from the original randomly selected list of 50 Submissions for that location. That subsequent winner must respond to the notification email or call within 24 hours of the date on which they are notified, or they will also forfeit the prize. This process will continue until 9 winning entrants are successfully contacted. 

8.           If none of the shortlisted 50 Submissions for any UK Tour location are deemed to meet the stated criteria, another 50 Submissions will be drawn at random and one Submission for that UK location will be selected as the winner subject to the judging criteria and process as outlined above, and contacted as per clause 7. 

9.    In the event that there are less than 50 Submissions for any of the UK Tour locations at the point the Promotion closes, then all entries received for that UK Tour location will be subject to the judging process as above. 

10.     In addition to the above, there will also be one overall grand finale Promotion winner selected from the 9 winning Submissions (as described in Clause 7). This finale winner will be determined as the Submission that ranks highest against the original criteria detailed in Clause 6 and will be invited to join the Tour at its final location in Birmingham (in addition to the entrant participation in the Tour at their original choice of Tour location). 

11.      In the event that we do not receive any suitable Submissions that meet the eligibility criteria for one or more Tour locations we reserve the right to withhold the prize associated with that location. 

12.              Entries deemed by us to be rude, offensive, defamatory, illegal or condoning dangerous behaviour will be removed from the Promotion. 

13.     The judges’ decision in all cases will be final and no conversation or correspondence about the results will be entered into. 

14.         By submitting your entry to this Promotion, you confirm that you have obtained the consent of any individual that feature in your Submission (in the case of children under the age of 18, you have obtained the consent of the child’s parent/guardian) and agree to notify us immediately if their consent is withdrawn at any time. 

15.           We and the Promotion Partner and the Prize Provider may publish and publicise your submission, name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture, your nearest geographical location (for example, your nearest city, town or county) and your entry, and we may refer to your and any applicable third party’s (for example any one included in the submission/a guest/a travel companion) association with the Promotion and/or the prize, in any and all media, worldwide, in perpetuity, for publicity and PR purposes solely in connection with the Promotion. 

16.           In relation to winners (and runners up if applicable), you understand that we and our Promotion Partner may: (i) interview you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) which we may film, photograph and/or record and; (ii) film, photograph and/or record, you and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) in connection with the Promotion, either by telephone or in person, and we may use such films, recordings and/or photographs for publicity and PR purposes in any and all media, worldwide, as often and for as long as we consider appropriate or desirable, in connection with the Promotion. We may also publish your and your guest(s)/travel companion(s) name, image, social media handle and/or profile picture.   

Eligibility: 

17.    The Promotion is only open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, and who are based in the UK at the time of entry. 

18.    Entry is restricted to one entry per person; duplicate entries will be excluded from the Promotion.  

19.     The entrant must be able to attend their selected locations on their chosen dates from the drop-down box on the entry form as well as the finale event date on Friday 19th May 2023 in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The full Tour dates and locations are listed below:

20.    The entrant must be the legal owner of the vehicle in their Submission. 

21.    The entrant must have held a full UK drivers’ licence for a minimum of 12 months. 

22.     An entrant will have no more than 6 points on their licence.  

23.    The driver must not have been previously disqualified from driving. 

24.  The car in the Submission must be legally roadworthy with a valid and current MOT and full comprehensive insurance naming the entrant as the legal owner of the vehicle for the entire period of this Promotion running from Friday 14th April 2023 to Sunday 21st May 2023. 

25.  The car in the Submission must not have any visible commercial branding or offensive language or images on it.  

26.  The car in the Submission must not have any illegal modifications including but not limited to; blacked out tinted windows, or neon or tinted lights.  

27.  The car in the Submission must be able to be driven to and from the Tour location and grand finale location under its own power and does not requiring any additional support i.e., it does not need or require such things as (but not limited to) a car transporter / trailer / towing. 

28. No other person can feature in the Submission only the entrant who is the legal owner of the car. This element is optional and the Submission will still be eligible if it only features the car.

49.1. Your stay will be for the following dates only:   

         Thursday 18th May to Saturday 20th May 2023. 

49.2. You will be staying in a 4* hotel, sharing a double room with en-suite bathroom on   

                a bed and breakfast basis. 2 days onsite hotel parking for 1 car will be pre-booked    

          in advance.  

50.         Winners will receive the cash portion of their prize in two separate instalments. The first instalment will be for £250 and will be transferred to the winner’s bank account at least 24 hours before the winner is due to arrive at the UK Tour location they have won for, or the grand finale in Birmingham, United Kingdom. The remainder of the prize money will be transferred to the same bank account within 2 working days after the Tour has ended in the location they won for. If a winner does not show up to their allocated Tour location on the day that they won for, for any reason, they will forfeit the remainder of the cash prize and all other elements of the prize. You must provide all necessary details via the method directed within 2 days after the original request to do so otherwise the prize will be forfeited at our discretion. 

51.     Winners will receive their Fast X merchandise bundle, referenced in Points 29 to 37, on-site when they attend the Tour at the specified location and on the specified date. This element of the prize will be fulfilled by an on-site brand ambassador. If the winner does not show up to the Tour event then they will forfeit the Fast X merchandise prize.  

52.    If due to any Covid Measures, we are unable to fulfil a prize or perform any of our other obligations under the Promotion Terms and Conditions, then we shall not be in breach of the Promotion Terms and Conditions. In accordance with Clause 57 below, in these circumstances, we reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion. 

53.     In addition to the winners driving their car around a designated area as part of this prize, the winners’ cars will be on display at the relevant Fast X UK Tour location as part of this Promotion. It will be at the winners’ discretion how the car will be on display e.g.: doors open or closed, bonnet open or closed. It will also be up to each winner to decide whether or not to let members of the public touch or sit inside their car. The day of the Tour (including driving around the designated area and displaying the cars) will last for a minimum of 8 hours and does not include time to get to and from the relevant Fast X UK Tour location site.   

54.    We will not be liable for any damage to the winners’ car either caused by the owner, other members of Fast X UK Tour, or any other 3rd party including the general public or people working on site at each of the Tour locations or the finale location. The winners’ personal insurance will need to be able to cover any potential damage caused to the vehicle before, on and during the Tour for the dates and locations they win for.  

55.    Any other costs and expenses which are not specifically included in the prize description are excluded and will be the sole responsibility of the winner. By way of example, without limitation, fuel for your car to travel to and from the Tour location, and food on site during the Tour is not included within the prize. 

56.           The prize is non-transferable and non-refundable. 

57.           We reserve the right to substitute the prize with another prize of equal or greater value at our absolute discretion.

59.           Your personal data that you provide to us will be collected and processed by us, our licensees (including Communicorp UK Limited) as well as the prize providers, and if applicable, our service providers, network operators and suppliers in order to administer and fulfil the Promotion. Your personal data may also be disclosed to the Phone-paid Services Authority, Ofcom and/or the Advertising Standards Authority at their reasonable request for regulatory purposes, for example, in order to prevent, investigate and detect crime, fraud or anti-social behaviour and comply with law enforcement agencies and applicable advertising codes. 

60.           By entering a Promotion, you acknowledge that any personal data provided by you in connection with the Promotion will be processed as set out above and in accordance with our Privacy Policy which sets out full details of how we process personal data and how you can exercise your rights as a data subject. Please ensure you have read and understood our Privacy Policy before entering any Promotion. If you are required to submit a guest(s)/travel companion(s) personal data to enter a Promotion, you must ensure that your guest(s)/travel companion(s) have given you consent to provide us with their personal data. 

61.        You may be asked if you want to opt-in to marketing from us when you enter a Promotion. If you choose to opt-in, we will use your personal data for marketing purposes (see Global's Privacy Policy for more details). You can withdraw your consent to marketing at any time by unsubscribing.  

62.           We and the prize providers may transfer and process personal data outside of the EEA and UK for the purposes of administering the Promotion. Where any transfers are made outside of the EEA or UK we will ensure appropriate safeguards to protect your personal data are in place.  

63.           We will hold your personal data for a period of up to 3 years in order to comply with our regulatory obligations.  

64.           You may request the removal of your personal details from our database by contacting privacy@global.com. If you request that your personal details be removed prior to the conclusion of a Promotion, you will forfeit your right to enter the Promotion and/or claim any prize and we reserve the right to select another entrant to participate in the Promotion or withdraw the prize and select another winner, as applicable.
