Paint inside of kitchen cupboards

The insides of my kitchen cupboards are a white shiny veneer type wood and unfortunately they have discoloured through use.

Is there anyway I can paint the insides of the kitchen cupboards to make them better and if so, what products would work? I can’t imagine a normal paint would stick. Thank you

You can get paint from valspar in B&Q for painting kitchen cabinets, I've used it myself

I tried the valspar and B&Qs own brand, both looked nice when done, but chip as soon as you go near them !

The only decent one I found was rustoleum washable matt kitchen cupboard paint. Its about £25 for a small tin, but goes a really long way

I would use Zinsser BIN after a good clean and then a paint colour of your choice but in an eggshell/durable finish.   I have used B&Q paint and wouldn't do so ever again.

Zinsser or frenchic I would recommend.

The surfaces will still require a good scrubbing first.

Paint should be fine for the sides, but perhaps consider a stick-on vinyl for the base and shelf tops? They get some punishment.

The original finish - melamine - is very durable, and hard to replicate.
