Booked a 3 night short break in Durham with Travelodge 3 weeks ago for later this month. Original price was £186 for room only on free cancellation, but since then I have looked 3 times and the price has gone down. It first went down to £176 so I changed my booking and then yesterday it had gone down to £169 so changed again. Looked again this morning and it has gone down another £10 to £159!. So overall by looking I have saved £27 on original price and the break is still over a week away so may even go lower.

Hotel pricing is volatile. Sometimes it will go down and at other times it will go up. It depends on occupancy level for a date along with how close to the date it is.
