Swiss aunt seeking UK bank account for sale of UK house proceeds prior to gifting to relatives.

Dear All,
my aunt who is British but now a Swiss national is selling a house she owns in the UK. She needs a bank account to deposit the money so that she can gift the proceeds to various family members. Does anyone know of a bank that can provide an account for a non-uk national without having to provide a deposit and proof of salary etc? I've had a look but can't quite find anything that would be suitable.
Many thanks
RR

can the solicitor handling the sale help ?0

Have you looked at the 'offshore' branches of UK banks, in Channel Islands and Isle of Man, who offer accounts to non-UK nationals? There's Santander Jersey for example, also Lloyds, Barclays, HSBC I believe still operate such branches.
Evolution, not revolution1 -
Thanks for that suggestion, I'll check them out.0

How has she been handling all the costs (and perhaps income) associated with owning a UK property that she doesn't live in?RonnieRoach said:my aunt who is British but now a Swiss national is selling a house she owns in the UK0 -
HSBC will probably give her an account.0

I am assuming that the sale proceeds will initially be credited to the solicitor's client account.
Could she not give formal instructions to the solicitor to pay the proceeds out as to ( eg )

Possibly with her own bank(s), there must also be options in Switzerland for GBP accounts.0

She bought it for my late mum to live in. Now she's gone, she wants to sell.eskbanker said:
