Dishwasher Door Seal

The lower door seal in my dishwasher falls out of its slot as the door is closed.  In position it seals OK but I need something to keep it in place.  Sorry about the out of focus photo - I think the ribs along the flat section have compressed and no long hold it in the slot.  I've tried to get a replacement but this seems impossible (Homeking HD601).  Can it be glued or held in position with something do you think?  It seems a shame to condemn a dishwasher which otherwise works well while there is still some life in the seal.

Can't see that particular model here, but you might find the part you need listed for another model...
There is a lower door seal for a DWI600.

Thanks Victor.  It's hard to see the detail in the photo of your link, but this one on the same site looks very like the seal on my machine
I think I'll check that the number of cut outs is the same - they go around bolts on the door.  If mine also has six it's worth taking a punt that it will fit.

Does tightening the bolts grip the seal?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

No I don't think so, the cut outs seem to go right around the bolt heads.  The bolts seem to be holding the front and back of the door and the hinge.  I think they are part of the door structure.
I've just ordered a replacement seal in the hope that it is the same as the one I need.  I'll report back when it arrives!

An update for sake of completeness.  The new seal arrived and I realised that there is a plastic piece that was still in the slot.  When I got it out it became clear how the rubber seal goes into this and then the two pieces slide in and clip in place.  It doesn't feel very secure, but so far it has stayed in place and the dishwasher is back in action.  Not before time as the novelty of washing up by hand had worn off!

    Appreciate the update.
    Dishwashers spoil us don't they?!
    Nice though.  :)
