PAC codes are sent by text or you can call but not by email.

I have a password on my Three account so if anyone calls Three they won't even get the time of day without it.

Oh, maybe just the confirmation of a PAC code goes by email. 

This scenario happened to a friend of mine, I assumed he meant that he got the actual PAC code by email as the first sign that Something Was Happening, maybe they just phoned and asked for it, given the address, password etc. and he just got an email receipt.

Certainly a prime example of what happens if

a) you trust a business with your details

b) you reuse the same password.

The part about simply building a clone of the phone from the cloud is frightening though, it bypasses all your security as the biometric authenticator simply sends a token if it verifies that the person who changed the biometrics to theirs is the same.

And set your mobile phone not to display the contents of text messages on the lock screen (then you need to unlock the phone to get any codes)
