built in wardrobes, does this quote sound about right?

have had a quote to for an experienced carpenter to build me 'built in' wardrobes that are floor to ceiling, wall to wall, so basically cover the complete wall of one side of the bedroom. He's making the doors himself, and it includes hanging rails in the large alcove and multiple shelving in the other alcove and across the small chimney breast wall - the length of the wall is 3.4metres and the ceiling height is 2.45m - the quote to supply, make & fit the wardrobes is £2500 - its a long time since we've had anything like this done so I have no idea on whats about right? many thanks for any replies and guidance

Imposible to say how good that quote is. Have you tried getting other quotes to compare? Presumably the carpenter comes recommended, but a quote from some other company, even if you don't intend to use them, will give you an idea what a realistic cost might be.
