Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Not raining at the moment but yesterday was raining on and off with several heavy downpours. Next week we're supposed to be having a heat wave - we'll see!
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was all day breakfast - not sure what we're having tonight.
Last day this week at work, will be a busy one, but luckily a shorter day for me, but we have 2 functions going on so will be busy. Looking forward to my days' off.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope work goes ok.
It's fine here, no rain! I read that there was going to be an improvement in the weather as NMLC says, I really hope so.
Yesterday was an ok day, met up with my friend from the book club, then I was home for the rest of the day.
Today I'm making a quick visit to another friend with a present for her great grandson, her family are visiting from down south and she's asked me up to meet the baby. I won't stay long, I know she's had a lot of visitors this week.
TA, how sad it is about your BFF, are you able to visit?
Hope you are feeling better Camelot.
Take care today folks, have as good a day as you can.11 -
Morning folks. After the horrible weather on Tuesday night the day wasn't too bad, apart from the biting cold wind. My friends and I had a lovely lingering breakfast, I dropped them off halfway back so that they could walk back, all wrapped up well. In all they did eight miles cross country. Later our games session was fun even if I didn't win. 😀
The chap up the hill called in to collect a couple of boxes of Covid tests as he had tested positive last weekend. He didn't come in, just stood at the door wearing a mask. I'm still clear of the virus, the lovely Camelot didn't pass on the infection to me.
The morning is glorious, fingers crossed that it remains that way.TA - my thoughts are with your ailing friend. 💕
Happy Thursday to all.11 -

Off to work soon I will be back at lunchtime for my soup but roll on Friday night we are overloaded with work and the bosses wife has been in this week passing me bedding so I can do it faster she’s hard work standing over top of you all day I’ve hardly slept with back ache and my wrist and knuckles are up like a balloon with standing ironing. Shepherds pie tonight it’s one I’ve taken out of the freezer just some veg to go with it nice and easy . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning all
Dry and bright here this morning but rain due again this evening, last night was horrendous with winds and rain battering the windows and it was so cold.
My review meeting went well they were very pleased with the work that I am going and I had glowing reports from my clients and the family’s 😃
Off to collect my private client today and we are going on a trip with ex work to do some trout fishing, I’m not sure how I feel about it really, I love fish but I’m not sure I could knock one on the head 😳 apparently we can bring home what we catch but we will see !
Dinner tonight will be jacket spud with cheese and beans and some salad.
Have good days all and stay safe xxx11 -

Bright and sunny this morning but I don't think the rain is far away. There's snow on the hills so quite chilly out.
I have a negative test this morning thank goodness although I did go out yesterday, only so long I can stay in! Still tired, snotty and coughing but much better, I may even try a swim this morning.
I'm with you Ruby, would love the fishing part but would have to get someone to take the fish off the hook and put it back.
Enjoy meeting the new baby Scarlet.
Your work sounds awful Izzy.
Hope you get rid of the cold soon Bella.
Right, off to the shower, hope you all have a good day. Take care. XX11 -
Morning all, weather much the same, windy & showers. I don't think I posted yesterday , I caught the early bus into town to get my free swimming pass sorted, all done but the pass won't be ready for a day or 2 but the receptionist was lovely and helpful. They let me in for a swim, and it was a ladies only session. I did a good few lengths but my shoulders are aching today, it's so long since I did any swimming
I called in at Tkmaxx and got myself some new trainers, then Mr.S for some bits, until it was time for the bus back. I don't normally go much to that end of town, though the bus & rail station is a shortish walk away so it's not too bad but with MnS shutting at the weekend for good & hopefully more swims to get me fitter, I shall be in the future.
DH was going to take the car for MOT at 10 but the garage has just rung to rearrange as someone has rung in sick.Hopefully tomorrow now.We had a nice 3 way video call at teatime with the grandchildren, DGS is still away & he was round by the pool, giving us a guided tour.
We had gammon last night, cooked in my IPot, lovely and tender, DH had his with egg and chips. Lots left, and will whizz up the stock with veg into soup later. Not sure about tonight yet.Take care all & have the best day you can:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
Morning everyone
A bit dull this morning...forecast for showers later. I'm looking forward to the nicer weather next week - hopefully the forecast is right.
Had a nice morning at the library yesterday and then had lunch at a local cafe. Back home we spent a while putting photos in her album - a job that's been sitting waiting to be finished for ages now. Then little one wanted to look at all her photos - she's fascinated by the ones when she was tiny - when I look at the photo of her fitting on her daddy's hand it's amazing how big she is now.
We played some games and then went down to mam and dads and had a chippy tea - it was lovely. little one cleaned her plate. I had a cuppa with my mam and brother, then walked up home in the pouring rain.
Today I'm getting my hair cut , then will go for some shopping and get the bus up home. I'm planning to have a very peaceful afternoon.
Good news that you're negative now Camelot
Ruby I think I'd get bored waiting for a fish to bite
I've just noticed the time so I'd better go and get dressed
Hope you all have a good day x12 -
Morning All
Been MIA for a while , apologies April has a few anniversaries, more family funerals and sadly at the weekend another passing, they were only in their late 50's so I have been a bit flat but have been reading every day
Still no movement on the house really hoping something happens soon as starting to feel as if we are in limbo but there are many others in the same boat
We also went to the ideal home and like others have said it was so different to years gone by and sadly not in a good way.
TA I hope you manage to see your friend and she remains comfortable xx
Rosy that's great news about the reviews
Bella hope everything remains on course for your trip
Gers glad you are enjoying the board games
Poppy lovely to see you posting
Nels hope you are feeling better
We have booked a few days away in the Lake District at the end of the month somewhere we have never been and we are really looking forward to really hoping the weather is good
Sending hugs to all who need them

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Another damp and drizzly day here but, thankfully, nothing like the weather the south east got yesterday. I'm a latecomer this morning but I somehow found myself bogged down early with various jobs! Soup made and now cooling, bedding stripped off and bed remade. Washing machine almost finished and that will have to festoon the back bedroom to dry, with dehumidifier on. No chance of it getting pegged outside!
Yesterday ended up a drain on my funds which I hadn't accounted for! Sadly I needed new specs after all as my sight had changed quite a lot from 12 months ago. It was the usual ordeal for me (I am not good with anything eye related!) and I fell soft and ended up ordering my specs at their exorbitant prices. The frames themselves were relatively cheap ones, it's the price of the lenses that left me reeling. How do they justify the £240 cost just for lenses!! That's a big increase on last year's lens cost.
DGD called up in the afternoon as a day off Uni and had a driving lesson booked. It was a nice surprise as I don't see much of her since she started Uni. She was bemoaning the cost of everything with her limited funds so of course I fell soft and said I would transfer her some money to help out. So yesterday ended up a very expensive day all round!
Now all the early jobs are out of the way I must make a start on the usual Thursday jobs, kitchen and bathroom top of the list.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies, getting better and MIA. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11
