I have been called 7 times a day for three weeks by an unknown company.

When I answer the phone it hangs up. An 0145 number.

I dialled the number to find that it was an Insurance Company trying to sell me home/car insurance and giving an 0800 number.

So, finally fed up with the incessant phone calls I phoned the 0800 number, got through to Cornhill Insurance and told them in no uncertain terms that they remove my number from their dialling system.

If I get one more call from them I will report them to Offcom.

What is the point of them giving out calls that hang up automatically?

It hangs up because when you answer,they havent got enough operators available at that moment to speak to you.

I was slightly confused the other day when i answered the phone to be faced with a recording saying they hadnt been able to get through to me. Therein lies madness..
