Alarm dialler with de-activated/no landline
Dear all,
Not sure if this is the right part of the forum for this question, but...
We have a dialler connected to our burglar alarm that, in the past, has rung us if/when the alarm has been activated (very rarely). This has used the landline to dial out. We've recently had the landline de-activated, though.
Question is:
Is there any way the current dialler can be converted to dial us, other than via a landline, or will we just need to replace it with a 'landline-less' one (if such a thing exists).
Thanks in advance.

There's no way anyone can answer your question unless you give a specific model number of your current dialler.
As to the 2nd part of your question... I know you can get IP diallers that call using your Internet connection, it attaches to your sirens output... something like this :-

We have a dialler for the same reason as you.Shocking_Blue said:Dear all,

My alarm installer {who also services every year} once told me you can get one that works with a SIM card instead of via a landline.

Apologies for not posting specific details:The alarm is about 10 years old - Honeywell Accenta ADE G4
The dialler is Honeywell ADE Gen4 Informa (fitted shortly after the alarm was fitted)

Yes you can, some of the companies I support have 4g notification as they don't have landlines.Trace-T said:We have a dialler for the same reason as you.
