Large Parcel Courier Help ?

Hi. Hoping someone can help. I need to send an eBay parcel, which I had planned to send via Evri. However, I think it's outsize, even for ParcelShop drop off. eBay Packlink won't quote. Box weight is c.14 kg, and dimensions are 60cm x60cm x 90cm Height. I need full cover too. Parcel2Go indicates it's within dimensions, but I'm worried I'll have issues if I book direct (c. £27 including £420 cover). DPD looks an option, but £40+ unless there's any promo codes out there. Any help gratefully appreciated.

If you click on the information link on Parcel2Go then you'll see what restrictions apply to your selected service - there's no reason why you should have any issues provided you meet the requirements.
  • Is it too big for Parcelforce OP?

Their own site is competitive on price and offers £100 cover as standard (plus the option to buy more cover).

£420 item with Evri sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. :)

Thanks - Parcelforce works put much more expensive. Agreed re Evri.  DPD looks to be best option I think.

Its too big for Evri Parcel Size & Weight Guide | How to Measure & Weigh a Parcel | Evri

Add together the 2 shortest sides and multiply it by 2. Add the length. If the total is less than 245cm, you’re good to go!

So I read that as (60+60)x2+90=330 which is over 245.

Sorry didn't check the sizes, I see Parcelforce class it as "large" and thus charge £47ish. Personal choice but I'd pay the extra to DPD rather than use Evri.

I've not used it for ages so no idea, in the past I've used Parcelforce via Ebay, which can come out with some better deals for outsize parcels that aren't on their website.

Thanks for all your help everyone. In the end, I booked it through Parcelbroker, with DPD collecting the same day as booking. Delivered too the following day. Only cost £25 with full insurance coverage...a definite bargain.
