EA Contract minimum tie in periods

When does the minimum tie in period start, when the contract is signed or when marketing begins?
I, rather naively, accepted a contract with a minimum 20 week tie in with the EA (I know, but this is my first house sale so didn't know any better), but the contract was signed a good three weeks before the house was first marketed so was hoping this would be included.

When the contract is duel signed and dated.
Be aware also of the notice period required. Given what you agreed to on the minimum term, you might have agreed an 8 week notice period. Check the conract.
However this can be served before the minimum term expires, so serve notice 8 weeks before the 20 week minimum term is due to expire ie in week 12 of the contract to expire in week 20.1
