Unreasonable car repair timeframe? (Under Warranty)

Hi All
Around December last year it began having issues with the engine and I finally got it booked in for a repair on the 16th January this year, I was then told that the engine would need to be replaced as it had developed a known fault that a small percentage of their engines had developed and that it would be fixed free of charge under warranty. I currently have a courtesy car with a local 3rd party company they are using. However my car is still with them as of today. So they have now had my car 3 months. (Just over 12 weeks)
They have explained they have had difficulty obtaining the parts which as of now stands at Engine Oil and a Seal as they have everything else. My issue is I have been paying Road Tax, Insurance and Finance for a vehicle I'm not currently driving.
Where do I stand as I'm currently very confused what my rights are as a customer as I fell they have had it for an unreasonable amount of time now.
hopefully someone can give me an idea of what my options/and rights are for the following.
To summise.
I bought a new 71 plate Vauxhall Astra on Finance from a local Vauxhall Dealership back in December 2021.

On the other hand you've been adding miles to another car along with wear & tear that you're not paying for. Having said that it does sound like an excessive amount of time to wait for repair. If they can't repair what option would you want? Cancel contract, refund etc?SpinDashDaz said:. Many car manufacturers are having similar problems. Not much you can do.0

Sorry, but have I misunderstood they have all the parts they need except for engine oil?0

As far as I have been told, it's more the fact I've been without my vehicle for the past three months.uknick said:Sorry, but have I misunderstood they have all the parts they need except for engine oil?0 -
Been trying to get Vauxhall vans fixed recently, a 2 month wait for them to actually look at them isn't unusual.0

This. Now it's the time to do those long journeys, haul all that crap to the tip, and generally make the most of your free miles.jimjames said:

Unless the loaner is significantly worse than your car, e.g. smaller, higher fuel consumption, lacking features etc.
