in Credit cards
Hi there. I have a JAJA Credit Card (formerly Post Office credit card) which they are closing in May (their decision, not mine!). This particular credit card allows me to make purchases overseas with no fee. It also allows me to purchase currency (cash) to take abroad without fee too. I'm looking to get a like for like card. Any recommendations?

Barclaycard Rewards has no fees for spending abroad. It's also the only CC I know which doesn't charge interest for ATM withdrawals abroad on a daily basis. Other CCs start charging you interest on cash withdrawals from day 1, but Barclaycard treats these as normal purchases, so you have the whole billing cycle to pay it back with no interest. Remember, this only applies to ATM withdrawals abroad, not in the UK.
If you don't need to withdraw cash abroad, then I would consider Halifax Clarity or Nationwide Member credit card which also gives you 0% interest in the first 15 months from account opening, so you can spend on your holidays abroad and then pay it back over 15 months with no interest. You can only apply for their CC if you are a Nationwide member, which means you hold a current account or savings account with them.
