Found out about historic CCJ

Hello,
I recently applied for an investment savings account, and was told that during checks the company have found a CCJ against my name from 2018. I've had a mortgage in the last 2 years and this never came up, and have also had various other credit applied for successfully.
I asked for more information from the company, and they have provided my name (all be it maiden) and an address I used to live at where the CCJ is, which is from 2018 and for £279.
I was completely unaware of this, and it hasn't shown up on Experian or Equifax.
I don't know what to do, whether to ignore it or find out more information. If I went digging, would the debtors be likely to chase it? Where can I get more information from?
I genuinely don't know what the CCJ is for. I didn't live at the address for long and barely had any bills or accounts registered there.
Thank you for reading. Any advice appreciated.

You can ask the court that issued the CCJ for more information. That won't set off any tripwires as far as the creditor is concerned, but I suspect if they really wanted to find you they'd have little trouble. You've obviously not gone out of your way to fly below the radar.0

If they haven’t bothered in the last 5 years, I doubt they’ll be bothered now.
Another year it will be off the register for good.
It will likely be a parking ticket, they enjoy going to court, and obtaining a CCJ, but they are never chased.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Good morning, sorry to jump on your post but I’m in a very similar situation. My last contact was 5 years ago and I was challenging it, credit checking had a CCJ for £266 which I can pay but I still argue the validity of the parking ticket.
anyway, the claimant who I have got the details for now say they will not object the CCJ being removed if the payment is made. Does anyone have any experience of whether this carries any weight to the court should I pay, get the above in writing and then apply for a set aside with agreement from the claimant?
thank you in advance, we are about to move for schools so removing it is my priority even though it is less than a year till it falls off.
kind regards
Lee

It`s always at the courts discretion what they agree too, for example, if they suspect you have paid it just to have the CCJ removed, they may oppose that measure, nothing is guaranteed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Thank you, is it true that if you were to explore the above and they decide not to allow it to be removed it can be reset/extended to another 6 years?Seems too risky if that’s the case.

If the court thinks your abusing the system, they can just deny your request, they cannot extend the time the judgement is valid for.

£279 looks a bit like a parking invoice which went to court and was unpaid...0

As this doesn't seem to be causing any issue and isn't on your Experian/Equifax reports, I can't see the point in digging around.0
