Could this be due to airport x-ray machine?
It worked o.k. on holiday, but it does not work now.
When I try to film I get a blank screen or flickering and sometimes lens cap warning comes up even though it isn't on.

What make and model is it?Every day when I wake up I thank the Lord I'm WELSH. .0 -
I really don't think airport X ray could do this as I've put plenty of tape-based format camcorders through airport Xrays without any problems. Is it just the recordings with the problem or is it like as described without recording? If it's the former, it could be a head clog?"...IT'S FRUITY!"0

Yes it's just the recording. It plays back but of just the black screen, lines etc.0 -
Sounds like a head clog then. I suggest you buy or borrow a miniDV head cleaner before you contact JVC it could be something as simple as that."...IT'S FRUITY!"0

You will have to be quick as the free repair ends on 31 DECEMBER, It would be worth a phonecall to check.
